I have a question. I am wanting to put a wagoneer dana 44 front axel into my YJ but there are a few questions i have first. What years did the wagoneer have the differential on the drivers side? What years were the narrow tracks produced? What is the width of the narrow track? What is the width of the wide track? And finally what is the bolt pattern on these axles? I have read a lot of things about these axles but some people say some things and other people say totally different things about when the differential was put on the drivers side and the length of these. I also want to know the length of a scout II rear end and the bolt pattern. Did the wagoneer come with a rear dana 44 or just a model 20? Anly Info. would be helpful.

9" of lift huh?

my front 44 is from an 80 wagoneer, 61.5" wide, 6 on 5.5 lug, driverside drop. spring mounts are SUA, believe 1" wider than YJ.

pre-80's are passenger side drop.

only WIDE ones are from fullsize cherokee chiefs, pass side.

rears are 20's from 80- ~85. 86+ should be 44. but i would run the 20 if i had one.

scout axles are 5 on 5 1/2. i know of a guy running this setup. GW 44 up front and scout 44 in the rear. he sent his scout axles to moser and had them re-drilled for a 6 on 5.5 pattern i believe. pretty cheap. the 80-82 GW axles were the ones to shoot for i think. seems like they didn't have axle actuator disconnect crap....

an easier way to get a rear 44 would be to get a older wagoneer rear, unless you wanted to convert the front over to run 5x5.5 then the scout is a obvious choice.

Yeah 9 inches. I have a SOA with about 1.5 inch lift springs and a one inch shackle lift and a 2 inch body lift. Flat skid plate, yukon axles in my dana 30, SYE kit, 4.10 gears, 35 inch BFG's, cut down rockers and Quarter inch custom rocker guards, and tons of flex. only problem is my axles are weak so i need dana 44's.

for the front anything 80 or newer should work with exception to the 83-84 (vacuum disco in the diff housing), they are roughly 61.5" wide as said earlier, the rears are around 59". The year the d44 rear was in the waggy is a little sketchy but it was around 86-87.
