I have an 88 YJ. Evertime I turn over the key, my dash guages go out and the fuse blows. I have changed the fuse but everytime it blows. Before I start looking for the short, I was hoping someone had a recomendation of YJ electrical trouble spots. thanks!

Why don't you put a biger fuse so that it woudn't blow?

well i did put a bigger fuse in, that blew. but a fuse is supposed to protect from even worse problems, i.e. fire, so putting larger fuses in just really hides the problem and doesnt treat it.

I have an '89 and it seems that this summer I will be replacing the electrical system. when someone tried to steel the Jeep 2 weeks they cut a whole bunch of wires...check your grounds.
