Just received my SRS from MORE that nets 1.5", as well as my 1" BL/MM and I have on order some OME 2.5" Springs. So with this lift in mind I will net a total of 5" roughly.

I know I can clear 33's.....my setup is the same as MORE's YJ. What I am wanting to know is if I can squeeze 35x12.5's with some fender trimming and some TJ Flares.

Now I know under compression they will rub but how about for a Street Jeep. I live in the desert of Manama, Bahrain and there isn't a ROCK to be found on this island. Wanting to just get some meats under the fenders and when I get back do a SOA with some 44/60's waiting for me at a local junkyard.

Anyway, give me your thoughts.......whatever they may be.

Yeah I think you could squeeze em in there with some fender trimming then TJ flares. You're really only gaining 1" in tire radius anyway so as long as you can hack back 1" of fender you should in theory clear them w/no problems. BUT you might have to extend your bumpstops to prevent some rub.

For example, my jeep is SOA on d44/60 w/1" lift springs and 1" out of my shackle reversal (warrior) The SOA gives me 5.5" + the lift = ~7.5" give or take for sag. I only point it out because I rub pretty decent front and rear as it is with my 35x12.5BFG MTs when I'm at full compression/flex. Granted I run stock YJ flares and I haven't trimmed my fenders, but that should give you some idea of the rub at the height I'm at.

Good luck! http://forums.jeepsunlimited.com/ubb/smile.gif

hey

i think you'll be ok. especially if you're not plannin on flexin much. my bf has about 5 inches on his 92 yj and he's runnin 33's with plenty of room. you should be fine.

good luck,
claren

edit: he runs stock yj flares so you should definitely be fine. http://forums.jeepsunlimited.com/ubb/wink.gif

Seee the thing is that oyu have the S.R.S. what happens when you flex is that the springs will flex rearward. Your tires will make contact with the rear of the fenders. I would suggest that you extend your bumpstops.
